
FLORIDA — A crash Wednesday morning caused a power pole to fall and forced the closure of part of a major roadway in St. Petersburg.
According to authorities, officers responded shortly after 9 a.m. to a crash near 22nd Avenue North and 66th Street North, where a power pole had been knocked down.
As a result of the damage, eastbound lanes of 22nd Avenue North were shut down while crews investigated and worked to address the situation.
Drivers are being urged to seek alternate routes while the roadway remains closed.
Officials have not released details about possible injuries or what led to the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
