GEORGIA — Three teenagers have been arrested following an alleged armed robbery and shooting along a rural road in Hart County, according to authorities.

Deputies with the Hart County Sheriff’s Office responded around 6:14 p.m. Monday to a reported shooting on Andrew Floyd Road near the intersection of Farm Road, outside Royston.

When deputies arrived, they found the victim walking along Tom Rice Road. The victim told investigators he had been riding in a blue Ford Mustang with three other people when the vehicle stopped on Andrew Floyd Road and an altercation began.

Authorities say the victim was robbed at gunpoint during the dispute and that two of the suspects fired weapons at him before he fled the scene on foot.

A be-on-the-lookout alert was issued for the vehicle. Georgia State Patrol later located the Mustang on Highway 17 near Martin and pulled it over. Troopers detained the three occupants and recovered multiple firearms from the vehicle.

Officials identified the suspects as 18-year-old Damien Jamier Hunter and two juveniles, ages 15 and 16, all from Toccoa.

Hunter faces charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony and discharging a firearm near a public highway.

The 15-year-old is charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and discharging a firearm near a public highway. The 16-year-old is charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

The investigation is ongoing.
