NORTH CAROLINA — A South Carolina man was arrested Monday after a traffic stop in Kinston led to the discovery of methamphetamine, according to the Kinston Police Department.
Officers with the department’s C-Squad conducted the traffic stop on East King Street on March 9 in Kinston. Police said the stop involved 28-year-old Ryan Penny of Longs.
During the stop, officers reported finding methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Penny was taken into custody and transported to the Lenoir County Jail.
Authorities said he is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and several traffic violations.
The case remains under investigation, and no additional details have been released.
