One person arrested following drug bust in Georgia

GEORGIA — A Toccoa resident was arrested Tuesday morning after a traffic stop led to drug and impaired driving charges, according to the Toccoa Police Department.

Police said the traffic stop was conducted with assistance from the Georgia State Patrol.

During the investigation, officers determined that Rachael Anne Johnson was allegedly driving under the influence and was in possession of a quantity of a Schedule II controlled substance.

Johnson was taken into custody and charged with Driving Under the Influence and Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance.

No additional details about the traffic stop or the type of controlled substance involved were immediately released. The case remains under investigation.
