
ARIZONA — Power outages are affecting several areas of Arizona Tuesday morning, with thousands of customers currently without electricity across the state.
According to the latest outage data, 2,752 homes and businesses in Arizona are without power, representing about 0.15% of the 1,873,536 customers tracked statewide.
Arizona currently has the second-highest number of power outages in the United States and also ranks second nationwide for the percentage of customers affected.
Among Arizona’s 14 counties, Apache County has the highest number of outages, with 1,574 customers without electricity. That also makes Apache the hardest-hit county by percentage, with about 9.85% of customers affected.
Other counties experiencing outages include Cochise County with 1,123 customers without power, Mohave County with 40 outages, Pima County with 10, and Yuma County with five customers affected. No outages were reported in Maricopa, Yavapai, or Coconino counties at the time of the update.
Utility providers are also reporting scattered outages. Navopache Electric Cooperative currently has the largest number of affected customers, with 1,574 outages, and the highest percentage of customers without power at 4.3%.
Officials continue to monitor the situation as crews work to restore service where outages remain.
