MARYLAND — A longtime Baltimore City Public Schools employee was found dead Monday at Arundel Elementary School.
Police said the victim, 75-year-old Deborah Tolson, had worked for the school system for 23 years and served as a math interventionist at the school.
Investigators reported no signs of trauma or foul play, and the cause of death has not yet been determined. Authorities are waiting for autopsy results while Baltimore police and City Schools police continue their investigation.
School officials described Tolson as a beloved member of the school community, noting she had worked at Arundel Elementary for seven years and was highly respected by both students and staff.
The school dismissed students early at 10:15 a.m., and crisis counselors were made available to help students and staff cope with the loss.
