
KENTUCKY — One man has been arrested following a deadly multi-vehicle crash in Christian County, Kentucky, according to Kentucky State Police.
The crash happened Saturday, March 7, in the 4800 block of Fort Campbell Boulevard in Hopkinsville after Christian County Dispatch requested assistance from KSP.
Investigators said a semi-truck driven by 36-year-old Gerasimos Livieratos of Chicago was traveling southbound and attempted to make a U-turn. A northbound sedan driven by 33-year-old Bernice Franklin of Clarksville, Tennessee, then collided with the trailer of the semi.
Franklin was pronounced dead at the scene.
Livieratos was arrested and taken to the Christian County Jail. He faces several charges, including reckless driving, improper signaling, improper turning, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a vehicle under the influence of a substance, and vehicular homicide while under the influence.
Kentucky State Police say the investigation is ongoing.
