Thousands without power in Pennsylvania

PENNSYLVANIA — More than 2,800 homes and businesses across Pennsylvania are without electricity Monday morning, according to data from PowerOutage.us.

As of the latest update, about 2,819 customers statewide are experiencing power outages. That represents roughly 0.04% of the more than 6.7 million customers tracked across the state.

Philadelphia County reported the largest number of outages, with 484 customers without power. Somerset County followed with 308 outages.

Additional outages were reported in Allegheny County with 223 customers affected and Delaware County with 206.

Several utilities also reported service interruptions. FirstEnergy had the largest number of customers without electricity, reporting 1,126 outages. PECO Energy Company reported 1,019 customers without power, while PPL Electric Utilities reported 233 outages.

Utility crews continue working to restore power to affected customers.
