
ALABAMA — A multi-vehicle crash Monday morning has blocked lanes on Interstate 65 in Blount County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Authorities said the crash happened around 6:15 a.m. near mile marker 284. The collision involved multiple vehicles and caused lanes on the interstate to close while troopers investigate the scene.
Officials said the highway is expected to remain partially blocked for an undetermined amount of time as crews work to clear the wreck and authorities continue their investigation.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division responded to the crash and are working to determine what caused it.
Drivers traveling through the area are urged to use caution and expect delays while the crash scene is cleared.
