
OHIO — A six-vehicle crash on Interstate 71 northbound near Mt. Gilead slowed traffic Sunday evening, though only one person was reported injured.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the pileup occurred on the northbound lanes of I-71 near Mt. Gilead. Troopers said the crash involved six vehicles and caused significant congestion for drivers traveling through the area during the evening commute.
One person involved in the crash was transported to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center for treatment. Authorities said that individual was reported to be in stable condition. No other injuries requiring hospitalization were reported.
Officials said the roadway has since been cleared, but drivers may continue to experience delays while traffic in the area returns to normal.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. No fatalities were reported.
