ALABAMA — A Georgia woman died after a crash Thursday afternoon in Escambia County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Authorities said the crash happened around 2:10 p.m. on March 5 on Escambia County Road 4 near Fir Lane.
Investigators said a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado collided with a 2021 Peterbilt tractor-trailer. After the initial crash, the Chevrolet left the roadway and struck a tree.
Jennifer Wisenbaugh, 55, of Stockbridge, Georgia, was a passenger in the Silverado and was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, officials said.
She was taken to D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital in Brewton for treatment but later died from her injuries.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency are continuing to investigate the crash.
