FLORIDA — A death investigation is underway in Palm Coast after a person was found dead Friday morning, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the area near the intersection of Florida Park Drive and Forest Hill Drive, not far from Palm Harbor Parkway, where a large law enforcement presence remains as investigators work the scene.
Authorities have not released details about the person’s identity or the circumstances surrounding the death. Officials also have not said how the person died.
While the investigation continues, deputies are asking drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes. Officials said all lanes in the area remain open, but the scene is still active.
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office has not indicated whether foul play is suspected. Additional information is expected to be released as the investigation progresses.
