SOUTH CAROLINA — One person was critically injured following a motorcycle crash Thursday evening near Loris, according to officials.
Horry County Fire Rescue said crews responded to a single-vehicle motorcycle crash around 5:42 p.m. in the area of Gause Road and Old Savannah Lane.
Emergency responders located an injured rider at the scene. Emergency medical services transported the person to a hospital with critical injuries. Authorities have not released the identity of the victim.
Officials said the crash temporarily blocked the roadway while first responders worked at the scene and cleared the area.
No additional details about what led to the crash have been released. Authorities have not said whether any other vehicles were involved.
The incident remains under investigation.
