INDIANA — A woman was killed in a crash Tuesday evening in Delaware County, authorities said.
Deputies with the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 5700 block of West Cornbread Road around 5:55 p.m. following reports of a serious motor vehicle crash.
According to a preliminary investigation, a Buick Envoy was traveling westbound on Cornbread Road while a Chevrolet HHR was traveling eastbound. Investigators believe one of the vehicles crossed the center line, resulting in a head-on collision.
The driver of the Chevrolet HHR, a woman from Yorktown, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Buick Envoy was occupied by two juveniles and one adult from Muncie. All three were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team is continuing to investigate the incident.
