FLORIDA — Police in Sanford are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspicious man who allegedly approached two children at a city park Sunday morning.
According to the Sanford Police Department, the incident happened around 11:30 a.m. at Mike Kirby Park in the 2100 block of Oregon Avenue. Investigators said the individual approached two children and made vulgar comments toward them.
Authorities also said the man may have partially exposed himself during the encounter. Police noted that an elementary school is located just steps away from the park.
The suspect is described as a man with black, medium-length hair and a small build. At the time of the incident, he was reportedly wearing a tan sweater and maroon pajama-style pants.
Police are asking anyone who may recognize the individual or who has information about the incident to contact the Sanford Police Department. The investigation remains ongoing.
