
NORTH CAROLINA — A traffic stop on West Vernon Avenue resulted in the arrest of a Lenoir County man on multiple drug-related charges, according to the Kinston Police Department.
Police said officers with the department’s B-Squad conducted the stop March 2 involving 34-year-old Joseph Soto. During the encounter, officers searched the vehicle and reported finding marijuana, diazepam pills, oxycodone pills, Adderall pills and drug paraphernalia.
Soto was taken into custody and transported to the Lenoir County Jail.
He faces the following charges:
- Possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance
- Possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule VI controlled substance
- Possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana
- Felony maintaining a vehicle for keeping controlled substances
- Simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance
