ALABAMA — A Mobile woman has been arrested after allegedly firing a gun into a vehicle occupied by children, according to the Mobile Police Department.
Police said officers were dispatched around 10 p.m. Monday to a residence in the 2000 block of Gimon Circle in reference to a shooting.
When officers arrived, they were met by a man who reported that a verbal and physical altercation had occurred at the location involving himself, his wife and others at the residence. The man told officers that when he saw a handgun, he grabbed his wife and attempted to leave. As they were walking toward their car, he said he heard a gunshot but did not know where the bullet struck.
Authorities said the couple’s two children were sitting inside the vehicle at the time of the shooting. No injuries were reported, but the bullet struck the car.
Janice Lee, 36, of Mobile, was arrested and charged with shooting into an occupied vehicle.
She was transported to Metro Jail, where she is awaiting a bond hearing.
