
VIRGINIA — Several school divisions across Northern Virginia and the Alleghany Highlands have announced delays for Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
In Northern Virginia, Fairfax County Public Schools, Fauquier County Public Schools, Loudoun County Public Schools, and Manassas Park City Public Schools will operate on a two-hour delay.
Several private schools in the region also announced schedule adjustments. Ambleside School, Arrows Christian School, Christ Chapel Academy, Ideaventions Academy for Mathematics and Science, Providence Academy, and The Fairfax Christian School will open two hours late. Arrows Christian School noted that its 10 a.m. tour will proceed as scheduled.
Explore Learning School, Loudoun Country Day School, Middleburg Montessori School, and The New School of Northern Virginia will operate on a one-hour delay. The New School of Northern Virginia also announced there will be no early morning group activities.
In western Virginia, Alleghany Highlands Public Schools, Bath County Schools, Craig County Schools, and Highland County Schools will open two hours late Tuesday.
School officials encourage families to monitor official communication channels for any additional updates.
