
VIRGINIA — A 20-month-old boy died Monday morning in Prince George County, according to authorities.
At approximately 8:15 a.m. on March 2, officers and emergency medical personnel were dispatched to the 100 block of Blue Jay Street for a report of an unresponsive child.
When first responders arrived, crews with Prince George Fire and EMS began life-saving measures on the toddler. The child was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.
“Detectives are conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident,” the Prince George Police Department said in a press release. “The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.”
