OHIO — A Lakeview woman was arrested Sunday afternoon following a reported knife assault at a home on Rosewood Avenue.
According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched shortly before 3 p.m. after receiving a report of a person with a knife at the residence.
When deputies arrived, they spoke with a witness who reported seeing an altercation between Jeannie Heintz, 42, of Lakeview, and the homeowner. The witness told authorities that Heintz had been inside the home removing wallpaper with a knife when the homeowner entered the room and asked her to stop. The situation reportedly escalated into an argument.
Authorities allege that during the dispute, Heintz jumped toward the homeowner and held a knife to her throat. Deputies observed what appeared to be a small nick and redness on the victim’s neck.
Heintz left the residence before deputies arrived but was later located riding a bicycle behind a nearby business. She denied placing a knife to the victim’s throat and told deputies the two had only argued about the home.
Heintz was taken into custody. During a search of her belongings, deputies reportedly found marijuana, drug paraphernalia, a torch lighter and a pocket knife.
She was transported to the Logan County Jail and booked on charges of felonious assault and possession of drug paraphernalia.
