
SOUTH CAROLINA — One person was taken to the hospital following a crash Monday morning on South Highway 701 in Horry County.
According to Horry County Fire Rescue, crews were dispatched around 7:15 a.m. to the area of South Highway 701 and Rabon Road in Loris in response to a reported crash.
Officials said one person was transported to a hospital with injuries. The extent of those injuries has not been released.
HCFR advised that lanes in the area are currently blocked as emergency personnel remain on the scene. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area to ensure the safety of first responders and to prevent traffic delays.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. The Loris Fire Department and the Loris Police Department are also assisting at the scene.
