OHIO — Several people were taken to the hospital Friday after a vehicle crashed into the front of a restaurant in Niles.
According to Niles police, a driver traveling through a parking lot accelerated and drove into Tino’s Italian Kitchen, located in a plaza off U.S. Route 422 at the top of the strip.
Five people were transported to the hospital. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.
After striking the building, the driver reversed and hit another vehicle, which was then pushed into a third vehicle.
The crash caused extensive damage to the restaurant.
The incident remains under investigation.
