INDIANA — One person was killed and two others suffered life-threatening injuries in a three-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in west Allen County, authorities said.
Deputies with the Allen County Sheriff’s Office responded around 4:05 p.m. to the intersection of O’Day and West Washington Center roads.
According to a public information officer, a pump truck swerved to avoid a passenger car stopped at a stop sign and collided with a red pickup truck traveling east on Washington Center Road. The impact caused the pickup to ricochet into a silver passenger car.
Officials said the person who died was in the red pickup truck. The two individuals with life-threatening injuries were in the silver passenger car.
West Washington Center Road was closed between Flaugh and Stahlhut roads following the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
