OHIO — Two suspects are in custody following a shooting in the 900 block of Dresden Road, according to Cleveland Heights police.
Authorities have not released specific details about the shooting, including whether anyone was injured. However, investigators said they believe the individuals involved knew one another.
In a statement, Cleveland Heights Police Chief Christopher Britton said the department is continuing to investigate and emphasized that violence will not be tolerated in the city.
“This type of conduct is not tolerated in the City of Cleveland Heights,” Britton said, adding that police will work to hold those responsible accountable through the criminal justice system.
While a motive has not yet been determined, police said early findings suggest the incident was not random.
Chief Britton also commended officers, detectives and community members for their quick response and cooperation, which led to the suspects being identified and apprehended in a short period of time.
The investigation remains ongoing.
