OHIO — A person was critically injured in a shooting Thursday afternoon in the parking lot of a Columbus library, police said.
The shooting happened around 5 p.m. at the Columbus Metropolitan Library’s Martin Luther King branch on East Long Street.
Columbus police said officers responded to the scene and found one person suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
No additional details about a suspect or what led to the shooting were immediately released.
The incident remains under investigation.
