PENNSYLVANIA — Another winter storm could bring additional snowfall to parts of Pennsylvania early next week, according to forecasters.
The system is expected to develop over the weekend and move into the Northeast by Monday, potentially delivering accumulating snow across portions of the state. While details remain uncertain, meteorologists say the storm has the potential to produce a broader swath of snowfall than some recent systems.
Forecast models differ on the exact track and snowfall amounts. Some projections suggest heavier snow could fall across central Pennsylvania, with lighter amounts possible along the Interstate 95 corridor. Other models shift the heaviest snow farther west, which could impact areas closer to Pittsburgh and the Laurel Highlands.
If current timing holds, snow could begin moving into parts of Pennsylvania by Monday afternoon and continue into Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Unlike the powerful nor’easter that recently impacted the region, this system is not expected to bring the same level of strong winds or prolonged blizzard conditions. However, accumulating snow could still create hazardous travel conditions, particularly during peak commuting hours.
Forecasters caution that the storm is still several days away, and the track and snowfall totals could change as new data becomes available. Residents are encouraged to monitor updated forecasts in the coming days.
