VIRGINIA — A 74-year-old woman died Monday evening following a two-vehicle crash in Carroll County, according to Virginia State Police.
The crash occurred when a Subaru traveling eastbound on Madison Road struck a westbound Ford DRW Super Duty on the driver’s side rear panel, state police said.
After the initial impact, the Subaru left the roadway and struck a fence, a horse, another fence and a tree.
Authorities identified the driver of the Subaru as Sylvia Cropp, 74. She was transported to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
The driver of the Ford was not injured in the crash.
Virginia State Police said the crash remains under investigation.
