
OHIO — A driver was seriously injured early Tuesday after losing control of an SUV on an entrance ramp to Interstate 280 in north Toledo, authorities said.
The crash occurred shortly before 1 a.m. on the ramp from northbound I-75 to southbound I-280. According to police at the scene, the driver lost control of the SUV and struck a guardrail. The vehicle then rolled over.
The driver was ejected from the SUV and sustained serious injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, according to a Toledo police report. The driver was transported to a hospital for treatment.
The entrance ramp was closed for several hours while crews investigated the crash and cleared the scene.
Police have not said what factors may have contributed to the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
