Pennsylvania school closings and delays for Tuesday

0

PENNSYLVANIA — Across southeastern Pennsylvania, multiple districts have adjusted schedules to help ensure student and staff safety after heavy snow and hazardous roads.

The School District of Philadelphia will remain on a virtual learning day Tuesday following the storm, with students learning remotely rather than attending in-person classes.

In Bucks County, Council Rock School District and Central Bucks School District have both announced two-hour delays for Tuesday, allowing extra time for snow removal and travel preparation.

Further north, the Quakertown Community School District also plans to operate on a two-hour delay on Tuesday due to overnight refreezing and strong winds that could impact travel conditions.

Across the rest of the state, additional schedule changes are expected as weather crews continue clearing roads and municipal officials monitor conditions.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to watch local district alerts and official school communication channels for any late-breaking updates or changes to schedules.
