
TENNESSEE — Multiple school districts across Tennessee have announced closures and delays for Tuesday, February 24, 2026, due to inclement weather.
Several districts will operate on a two-hour delay Tuesday, including Claiborne County Schools, Grainger County Schools, Hancock County Schools, Oneida Special School District, Grundy County Schools and Jackson County Schools.
Other districts have announced full closures. Carter County, Johnson County and Pickett County Schools will be closed Tuesday, along with Clay County, Van Buren County and White County Schools.
Union County Schools and Cannon County Schools are closed through February 24. Cannon County will transition to virtual learning Monday and Tuesday. Unicoi County Schools will observe a remote learning inclement weather day Tuesday. Fentress County Schools and Somerset Community College will also be closed.
Additionally, Union County Schools announced there will be no evening activities.
School officials urge families to monitor district communications for any further updates as weather conditions continue to impact the region.
