
OHIO — Police in Cincinnati are asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted on felony and misdemeanor charges stemming from an incident earlier this month.
According to Greater Cincinnati Crime Stoppers, officers with Cincinnati Police Department District One are searching for Donta Smith, who is wanted for aggravated burglary and misdemeanor menacing.
Investigators say the incident occurred on Feb. 19, 2026, when Smith allegedly forced entry into a victim’s apartment by kicking in the front door. Police say he then threatened to cause serious physical harm to the victim.
Smith is described as a 51-year-old Black male, standing 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds. Authorities say he has a prior criminal history that includes burglary, breaking and entering, and drug abuse. He was last known to live on Logan Street in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood.
Smith has been wanted since Feb. 23, 2026. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Greater Cincinnati Crime Stoppers or District One detectives. Tips can be submitted anonymously.
