SOUTH CAROLINA — A 30-year-old man has been charged following a drug bust in Aiken County that resulted in the seizure of more than 20 pounds of marijuana and a firearm, authorities said.
According to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, narcotics investigators executed a search warrant Thursday at a home in the 100 block of Cherry Street in Beech Island. The operation was conducted with assistance from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.
During the search, investigators recovered more than 20 pounds of marijuana and a gun from the residence, officials said.
Tymaine Smith, 30, was arrested and charged with trafficking marijuana and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
Authorities have not released additional details about the investigation.
