Closures and Delays Announced So Far
The following school systems and higher education institutions have issued official announcements:
Closed Monday
- Aberdeen Proving Ground — Closed
- Caroline County Public Schools — Closed
- Cecil College — Closed
- Cecil County Public Schools — Buildings closed; virtual instruction
- Chesapeake College — Closed
- Harford County Public Schools — Closed; no after-school or evening activities
- Morgan State University — Closed; remote operations in effect
- Queen Anne’s County Public Schools — Closed; Code Red for employees
- Salisbury University — Closed; classes held virtually
- Towson University — Closed; classes and activities canceled
- New Covenant Christian School — Closed
Delayed Openings or Modified Schedules
- Carroll County Public Schools — Two-hour delay; reevaluation at 7 a.m.
- Howard County Public Schools — Opening two hours late; reevaluation at 7:30 a.m.; morning Pre-K and RECC canceled
- Maryland School for the Deaf — Two-hour delay
- Frederick County Public Schools — Decision pending reevaluation by 7 a.m.
Officials across the state said conditions will continue to be monitored overnight. Additional announcements from districts that have not yet released decisions may be issued before Monday morning. Parents and students are advised to check school websites and local media for potential updates.
