SOUTH CAROLINA — One person is dead following a shooting in the Scotia area of Hampton County.
According to the Hampton County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a reported shooting on Granthill Road on Feb. 21.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they found 31-year-old Geordi Pringle, of Hardeeville, suffering from a gunshot wound. Pringle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities confirmed that one individual has been taken into custody in connection with the shooting. Formal charges are pending.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. Officials have not released additional details at this time.
