
TEXAS — A man has died after an officer-involved shooting in downtown Houston on Sunday morning, authorities said.
According to the Houston Police Department, the shooting occurred around 8:54 a.m. near the intersection of Main and Bell streets.
Police said a METRO police officer fired a shot during the incident. The officer was not injured.
The man was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries, officials said.
Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances leading up to the shooting. The investigation is ongoing, and updates are expected as more information becomes available.
