
OHIO — A man in his 40s was shot and killed Saturday evening on Cleveland’s east side, according to authorities.
Cleveland police said officers were called around 5:07 p.m. to the 3400 block of East 98th Street for a report of a person who had been shot. Cleveland Metropolitan Housing Police, Cleveland EMS and Cleveland Fire also responded to the scene.
Emergency crews found a man in his 40s who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to EMS.
Investigators said the victim was inside an apartment when a verbal argument broke out with another person. Police said the dispute escalated and ended with gunfire.
No arrests have been made.
The Cleveland Police Homicide Unit is investigating. Authorities have not released the victim’s name.
The investigation remains ongoing.
