WEST VIRGINIA — An Ohio man is among two people arrested following a drug investigation and alleged unlawful restraint at a home in Chapmanville, West Virginia.

According to West Virginia State Police, troopers from the Logan and Boone County detachments responded Friday, Feb. 20, to a complaint of suspected drug activity at a residence on Morning Glory Drive. Authorities were also told that individuals inside the home were allegedly being held against their will.

During the investigation, troopers located Rolland Reddick, 30, of Canton, Ohio, at the residence. Police said Reddick initially provided false identification to officers. Further investigation revealed he was a fugitive from justice. He was taken into custody at the scene.

Chad Williams, 49, of Chapmanville, was also arrested after troopers determined multiple people were being held against their will inside the home. Investigators reported seizing a significant amount of suspected fentanyl, several firearms and a large sum of U.S. currency from the residence.

Reddick is charged with fugitive from justice, obstructing and providing false information to the Department of Public Safety.

Both men were transported to the Southwestern Regional Jail to await arraignment. The investigation remains ongoing.
