MICHIGAN — Three people are recovering after being stabbed late Friday night at Black Lotus Tavern in Holton, according to authorities.
A spokesperson for the Michigan State Police said troopers responded to the scene following reports of a stabbing. One of the victims is pregnant, and an ultrasound confirmed the baby was not injured.
Two of the victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment, while a third sought private medical care.
Authorities said a female suspect was later stopped by deputies with the Muskegon County Sheriff’s Office near Maple Island Road and 60th Street. She was taken into custody without further incident. Officials said the suspect refused to answer questions.
In a statement posted to Facebook Saturday morning, Black Lotus Tavern said the stabbing was an isolated incident and confirmed that all three victims are expected to fully recover.
The restaurant emphasized that the incident does not reflect the Holton community or the establishment’s family-friendly environment. Management said it remains committed to providing the same food and service to customers and asked for continued support.
The investigation remains ongoing.
