VIRGINIA — Four people, including a small child, were found stabbed to death inside a Woodbridge home Saturday morning in what authorities are describing as a suspected murder-suicide.
According to the Prince William County Police Department, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 3400 block of Vale Court in Woodbridge at approximately 8:05 a.m.
Police said the incident is being investigated as a murder-suicide. The suspected perpetrator is believed to be an adult woman who was also found dead inside the home. Authorities said another adult woman and an adult man, both described as family members, were also located deceased at the scene. A small child was among the victims. Officials have not released the child’s age or gender.
Investigators stated there is no active threat to the surrounding community.
All four individuals will be transported to the medical examiner’s office for autopsies to determine the exact cause and manner of death.
The investigation remains ongoing.
