Major drug trafficker arrested by U.S. Marshals in Tennessee

TENNESSEE — A man described by authorities as a “major drug trafficker” has been arrested in Northeast Tennessee, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

Officials said 42-year-old Reco Lamar Mosley, who was wanted out of North Carolina, was taken into custody in Blountville. Authorities said he was being sought on charges including fleeing law enforcement, firearms offenses and probation violations.

Investigators reported recovering 12 firearms during the arrest, including an AR-style pistol, along with a pill press and large quantities of fentanyl and methamphetamine.

According to law enforcement, Mosley is considered a known supplier of illegal drugs into Asheville and parts of Northeast Tennessee.

The arrest was carried out by the U.S. Marshals Service, and Mosley remains in custody as the case moves forward. Further details about potential additional charges or court proceedings have not yet been released.
