FLORIDA — A motorcyclist was killed in a late-night crash Thursday on Jacksonville’s Westside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
JSO Sgt. Robert Hungerford said the crash occurred around 11:37 p.m. in the 11000 block of Crystal Springs Road. The rider, a man in his late 40s, was traveling eastbound when he veered left, struck the center median curb, and then hit a tree.
Authorities said the impact ejected the man from the motorcycle.
Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department personnel responded to the scene and pronounced the motorcyclist dead.
Officials said the crash is the 28th traffic fatality in Duval County so far in 2026 and the seventh involving a motorcycle.
