GEORGIA — Buc-ee’s fans in Georgia will soon have another nearby travel stop option, as the popular Texas-based convenience store chain prepares to open new locations close to the state line and within Georgia itself.

A new Buc-ee’s is currently in development in Monroe County, Georgia, off Interstate 75 on Rumble Road in west-central Georgia. The site is located roughly halfway between Atlanta and Macon. As of last fall, the store is expected to be completed by March 2027.

In addition to the Monroe County location, another Buc-ee’s has been announced just across the Georgia line in Hardeeville, South Carolina, in Jasper County.

That site will be located at Exit 8 off Interstate 95 at the intersection of U.S. Highway 278 and Highway 17, about 20 to 30 miles from the Savannah area, depending on location. Construction is expected to begin in early 2026, with a projected completion date of 2031.

The Hardeeville store is expected to include dozens of fuel pumps, electric vehicle charging stations, a bicycle plaza and scenic ponds as part of the larger Hardee Station development.

Currently, Georgia has three operating Buc-ee’s locations in Brunswick, Calhoun and Warner Robins. The nearest location to Savannah is in Brunswick, more than 60 miles away.

Buc-ee’s also continues to expand nationwide. Among locations set to open in 2026 are stores in Goodyear, Arizona; Huber Heights, Ohio; San Marcos, Texas; Benton, Arkansas; and Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

The chain, known for its large travel centers, clean restrooms and wide selection of food and merchandise, has drawn strong interest in Georgia as expansion continues across the Southeast.
