TEXAS — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office SWAT and Narcotics units executed a search warrant Tuesday at a home in the 6600 block of 32nd Street in Groves, where authorities say they discovered a suspected drug lab used to manufacture a hallucinogenic substance.
Investigators identified the residence as the site of a suspected DMT manufacturing operation. DMT, or N,N-Dimethyltryptamine, is a powerful hallucinogenic drug that is illegal and commonly sold on the street.
Although the laboratory was not active at the time of the search, detectives collected and secured evidence from the home.
As a result of the investigation and evidence gathered during the search, two men were arrested on drug-related charges. Authorities have not released additional details about the suspects or the specific charges they face.
The investigation remains ongoing.
