TEXAS — A narcotics investigation in College Station led to the seizure of drugs, firearms and cash, and the arrest of a 24-year-old man, authorities said.

On Feb. 16, 2026, the College Station Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit executed a search warrant at a home in the 600 block of Preston Street as part of an investigation into suspected drug sales at the residence.

During the search, officers recovered 3.67 pounds of marijuana, 120 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and 207.8 grams of THC concentrates, including a THC-infused chocolate candy bar, according to police. Investigators also seized $15,673 in cash, about $3,500 in precious metals believed to be proceeds from narcotics sales, two firearms and a large amount of drug paraphernalia.

Charles Edward Wingate, 24, of College Station, was arrested at the scene. He is charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Police said the charges will be enhanced because the residence is located in a drug-free zone.

Wingate is being held in the Brazos County Jail.
