PENNSYLVANIA — Police are warning residents in McDonald, Washington County, after multiple vehicles were reported stolen or broken into this week.
According to McDonald police, officers were called just before 5 a.m. Monday to a home on Sixth Street after two vehicles were reported stolen. One vehicle was later recovered in Canonsburg, and the second was found in Monessen using GPS information from the first vehicle. Both vehicles were recovered without damage.
Investigators are processing the vehicles for fingerprints and DNA.
Police said several other vehicles were broken into over the weekend. In a Facebook post, they reminded residents to lock their cars and remove valuables, noting that thieves are targeting unlocked vehicles.
As of Monday afternoon, one vehicle — a silver 2017 Lexus GX460 four-door SUV with an “FC” emblem on the driver’s side back window — remains missing. The vehicle has been entered into the National Crime Information Center database.
Anyone with information is asked to contact McDonald Police Chief Tim Motte.
