MICHIGAN — Authorities are investigating after a body was discovered Monday morning near a lake in Commerce Township.
According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, the body was found around 9 a.m. near Proud Lake, off Wixom Road. The discovery was made by a person visiting the park.
Deputies believe the deceased is a man in his 20s. His identity has not been released.
Officials said investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the man’s death. Additional information is expected as the investigation continues.
