
NORTH CAROLINA — A bomb threat prompted the evacuation of Statesville High School in Iredell County on Monday morning, according to authorities.
Police said the threat was reported around 8 a.m. at the school, which is located off North Center Street. Students and staff were evacuated from the building as law enforcement responded.
Officials later cleared the campus after determining there was no immediate danger.
Statesville High School and Crossroads Early College, which is located on the third floor of the high school, operated on a two-hour delay schedule for the remainder of the day.
As of Monday morning, no arrests had been made and no charges had been filed. The investigation remains ongoing.
