KENTUCKY — Northbound lanes of Interstate 65 in Bullitt County are shut down Monday morning following multiple crashes.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the first crash was reported around 5:30 a.m. on I-65 near Lebanon Junction. Traffic monitoring service TRIMARC indicated the roadway was closed from Lebanon Junction to the Bernheim Forest and Arboretum area for at least six hours.

A second crash involving two vehicles was reported just after 10 a.m. TRIMARC estimated that all northbound lanes would remain blocked for at least four hours as crews worked to clear the scene.

It was not immediately clear whether anyone was injured in either crash.

Motorists were urged to seek alternate routes and check current traffic conditions before traveling through the area.

The situation remains under investigation.
