
FLORIDA — A juvenile has been arrested after multiple vehicles and homes were struck by gunfire Friday morning in Apopka, according to police.
The Apopka Police Department said officers responded around 11 a.m. to reports of shots fired in the Summerwell Avian Pointe subdivision.
When officers arrived, they found bullet holes in several unoccupied vehicles and nearby homes. No injuries were reported.
Police said the juvenile suspect is facing the following charges:
- Shooting into or throwing deadly missiles into dwellings, vehicles, or public or private buildings
- Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill
- Firing a weapon in public or on residential property
- Unlawful possession of a firearm by a person under 18 years of age
Authorities did not release the suspect’s name due to the individual’s age.
The incident remains under investigation.
