GEORGIA — All lanes of Interstate 285 southbound in DeKalb County are blocked Sunday morning following a crash involving an 18-wheeler, authorities said.

According to the DeKalb County Police Department, a tractor-trailer and a sedan collided on I-285 southbound before Covington Highway. The crash was reported around 10:13 a.m.

Traffic cameras from the Georgia Department of Transportation showed emergency vehicles at the scene with lanes shut down and debris scattered across the roadway. Police also reported a possible fuel spill connected to the crash.

It was not immediately clear when that portion of I-285 southbound would reopen. The conditions of those involved in the crash were not known as of late Sunday morning.
